Another Rover Goes Over: Enough Already!

Dog training and puppy training keeps dogs safe!Yet another dog plummeted off a cliff in the UK this week. He lived. And that’s the news part of it since most of them don’t. And the UK isn’t the only place that happens. The sign here is from the US.

Here is a simple rule: Don't bet your dog’s life on your verbal control alone.

Life happens. And it happens fast. The rabbit bolts, the bird flies past low and your dog is gone.

In some of the stories* I have read, and in this one, the dog started out at what seemed like a safe distance from the cliff. If you haven’t been surprised yet at the speed your dog can attain in hot pursuit of something, you will be. I am sure these owners were both surprised and horrified. And I am also sure that no one was more surprised than the dog when he shot off the edge of the cliff.

Another simple saying I have is: If you’re going to believe in anything, believe in physics.

At a distance from a sheer and sudden cliff? Keep your dog on leash.
Walking near the edge? Keep your dog in the car.

Please share this and see if we can slow down these international news stories.
