1st Vet visit & some new insights.

Both kittens got a clean bill of health today.  And I sure got some insights into their personalities.  Teazer is much more laid back than her brother.  Getting their temperature taken Jerry responded with a WHAAAAA!  THERE'S A THING STICKING OUT OF ME!  Teazer was concerned but not panicked.  Nails clipped - Jerry got a break between paws, Teazer was practically offering her next paw to us.  I know who is going to be getting the most handling work done.
 
In more examples of cross-species weirdness, I bought a treated cardboard horizontal scratching board that Maya loves and the cats ignore!  The thing is practically shredded since it wasn't made for large, heavy paws - I'm glad I only paid $7 for it.  I also put Maya's soft sided crate out today hoping that it would give Maya a place to go when she wanted to get away, somewhere where she didn't feel she had to respond to the cats' every FRAP.  Maya seemed to figure that out on her own today without the crate!  Which is a very good thing, because Teazer and Jerry LOVE it!  They wrestle in it and take their special toys in it to play with and just lay behind the mesh and watch the world go by!  DH wants me to put it away since Maya isn't using it, but the kittens are having so much fun ...
