I had posted this on my Facebook Page, but Ms. Bets and I had so many friends we met at the "Farm" at training classes, I wanted to include it here.
Ms. Bets was diagnosed with metatized cancer throught her littlte body just three weeks ago. Before then she had no symptoms.
We had her on prednisone and tramadol for the last several weeks to keep her comfortable, and enjoy our last days/weeks with her.
My little Ms. Bets went to heaven this morning. Her tummy started swelling like a bowling ball yesterday and she really took a downturn. Vet had warned me that when her tummy started to swell, there was a chance the tumors would bleed out into her spleen, and that would be time to send her to heaven before that happened.
It was a peaceful passing. I laid on the floor with her and hugged her as she flew to heaven.
I stayed laying on the floor with her for nearly an hour, hugging and and saying good bye (and drenching her with tears!) I felt her little soul was still there, and I did not want to leave until I was sure she was safely out of this world and on to the next.
I have a huge hole in my heart--she will be sorely missed.
I covered her with kisses and hugs to take up to all of our wonderful friends waiting at the bridge for us.
