Another extremely early planning question. Should you balance the sex of your dog with your non-canine pets? I know that it's advised to get opposite sex when adding a new dog, but what about your cats and other pets.

I have two male cats and one female bunny. And the people in the house are three gals and one guy. Is the sex of any future dog irrelevant? Or is there a direction that, someday, I should lean?
