2. Bun Bun likes to get on top of my suitcase and pretend she's stranded. She makes pathetic noises and casts about helplessly as if stuck on the ledge of a skyscraper. No amount of coaxing will get her off, but if you pick her up and set her back down again, it breaks the spell and she's able to hop down. In this picture she's been up there for 20 minutes. In the past I've left her there upwards of an hour--alone in the bedroom while the rest of us are having yummy snacks in the kitchen--thinking she'll get down on her own if sufficiently motivated. She never did. But she has no trouble scrambling up and over logs three times this height when we're out hiking. I have never lifted her down off this suitcase or done anything other than just pick her up and set her back down again to break the spell, so I'd love to know what's going on in that little walnut-sized brain of hers.

Mebbe she's teaching you to play Pay Attention to Me?....you are getting so good at it that she's adding the out-of-sight, distance and duration components. lol.

Very funny. Reading the story, I was assuming the suitcase was standing up so she was at least a foot up or something. Then I scrolled down and saw it was only a good inch or two...

Maybe she's trying to get you to realize the importance of putting your luggage away immediately?

Here's another Bunny story. She sleeps in a dog bed next to our bed and Byrdie sleeps in bed with us. In the middle of the night last night, Byrdie started barking at something. Apparently he startled Bunny so that she rolled off her bed and under the people bed. We heard her little toenails clicking around, back and forth, back and forth, and finally figured out that she had rolled under there and didn't know how to get out. LOL! She really is a smart dog, she just gets . . . confused.

Maybe Bun Bun just likes to play pretend with the suitcase and have you come rescue her? Sounds like a good game. Who says dogs can't have imagination?

As for waking up in the middle of the night under the bed, well, I'd be confused too!
