I work in a jail. I am a supervisor and have about 20 officers under me; most of these officers are mid-twenties, male and quite a few are ex-military. I am 45, a female, never been in the military and prefer to talk through issues rather than using physical force - the exact opposite of those I work with.
Today I had to recertify on the PepperBall gun (a paintball gun that shoots OC powder instead of paint). The officer who is the instructor was, first, surprised that I wanted to be re-certified and then was stunned when I outshot the other officers - have I mentioned I can shoot? When we were done, I heard "Wow, I can't believe what a good shot you are."
Hehehehe! I love doing that to the young macho ones :-)
