little dog lover

So yesterday my husband, Grant (17 mos now) and I went to the New York State Fair. We saw one of the grandstands was having what was billed as an extreme dog show of trained rescue dogs. Of course we had to check that out.

By the time we got to the show it was so crowded with spectators we couldn't find a spot where we could all see so Dustin hoisted Grant onto his shoulder for a quick look at the show. Well even though I couldn't see and Dustin couldn't see we ended up staying for the whole show because Grant could see and was laughing and clapping at all the silly dog antics which included jumps and flyball, or so I heard.

Think we managed to raise a little dog lover here!

On a side note, even though I couldn't see, I was really impressed at how the announcer shared that all the dogs were rescues and encouraged shelter adoption and spaying and neutering.
