Two puppies are much more than twice the work of one. And if you’re thinking that you’ll have two devoted adorable pups who are thrilled to see you and only you, not likely. Usually, when you raise two pups at once, they bond to each other more than to any human. But, if you’re prepared for this and know what to do, you can raise two pups successfully. And this is how you do it:
Cat food is higher in fat and protein than dog food making it is as appealing to dogs as ice cream is to us. On the downside, that extra fat and protein can cause diarrhea in the short-term and weight-gain in the long.
Cats and dogs frequently become the best of friends, but, as with many relationships, it may not start out that way. All things are made easier if either the cat or the dog has lived with the other species before, but if this is the first time for both of them, fear not. It can work.
The first order of business is to protect the cat from an overly enthusiastic or misdirected dog. All new dogs should be kept on lead around cats until you are 100 percent sure they will not cause injury.

Suddenly your normally calm dogs erupt into a squabble. Why? Everything’s been pretty normal… or has it? Learn to anticipate tensions by understanding how changes in weather, schedule or health can ignite a group of dogs.

Dogs, like people, have varying relationships with food. Pip eats as if this is her first meal in days and her last meal for weeks. PJ dines slowly and, if Bracken used to look her way, PJ would simply pick up her bowl – food and all – and retire to a more private dining area.
