Tonight Cooper and I failed the CGC. Again.
Sigh.
He was beautiful in the ring, perfect heel, sit, down, stay. Greeted a friendly stranger and ignored the test dog like he has been doing this for years. Grooming (which was our problem spot last time) was a breeze.
During the supervised separation he didn't whine or bark but darted towards the door several times and acted stressed. :(
The evaluator praised him and told me not to get discouraged. But frankly, I am. I feel like it reflects poorly on me as a trainer, heck, as someone who owns a dog, that I can't get him through this exam.
So we now have two completion of level II certificates but no CGC. I guess I have to decide if I am going to enroll him in the class, again. I really want to take an agility course with him but told myself to that we would get through the CGC first. Maybe I'll just screw it and take beginning agility anyway. . . .
We can do get through this CGC, right? :(
