password headaches

I've been elbow deep in school and am finally done. So I thought I'd drop by and look around. I've been through this before, but always assumed it was something I was doing wrong.
Anytime I'm logged out of the site and attempt to log back in I have to reset my password. It insists that the password I've entered is incorrect. This time, after resetting it, I tested the password by logging back out and attempting to log back in. No go. It's not me. At least I don't think it is.
It's not a big deal--just mildly irritating.  Am I missing something?
