Vince can be a real jerk-face

I don't let him sleep in my room with me because he kneads on me constantly and licks my face. So he gets (gently) tossed out at bedtime.

Sometimes, and especially in the last three nights, he throws a tantrum and I end up getting hurt. He yowls and bites hard (not enough to draw blood, but hard enough) and scratches. The other night he scratched my face and drew blood, though usually it's my arm and hands. I've had to smack him to let me go.

It's gotten so I'm scared to go and pick him up. He's not in pain, or anything, because he'll let me pick him up during the day (all 17 pounds of him). He's usually an overly affectionate guy to the point where it gets on my nerves. He follows me around licking my legs and winding around them.
